"I'm not an adrenaline junkie. I'm not a huge fan of roller coasters, nor do I spend my free time climbing mountains. Still, I can't be at all scared of heights in my job," says Steffen Kropf, a maintenance electrician at Bosch in Karlsruhe, Germany. 🧗 With shelves up to 37 meters high and up to 22 layers of pallets stacked on top of each other, his workplace is anything but ordinary. If a pallet slips, tips over, or gets stuck, then it's time for Steffen to spring into action – and sometimes even shimmy through the shelves in his climbing gear. In the high-bay warehouse, every associate, including Steffen, undergoes height rescue training to ensure a safe working environment for everyone. Follow the link below and take a look at some of our Bosch locations all over the world. Each location has something unique to offer to our associates – ranging from open office areas and collaboration spaces to innovation labs, research and development centers, and manufacturing facilities.
At Bosch, we’re committed to making a positive impact – not just through technology, but by giving back to people, the planet, and its wildlife. 🐘🌿 Many elephants live in captivity, facing neglect or mistreatment, and the species is even threatened with extinction. To support their rehabilitation, Bosch has partnered with the Karnataka Forest Department and the Wildlife Rescue and Rehabilitation Centre to establish a care facility in Lakshmisagara, India. 🤝 This sanctuary provides rescued elephants with the care, nutrition, and medical support they need to recover and regain their strength, with the ultimate goal of reintroducing them to the wild. By contributing resources and technology, such as security cameras and a solar power system, Bosch actively supports the welfare of these animals and champions wildlife conservation efforts. “Elephants are a critical part of the ecosystem. For example, they help spread plant seeds,” says @Shilpa Deodhar, Corporate Social Responsibility Lead at Bosch Global Software Technologies. “Through this project, we’re ensuring they get the care they need to heal and thrive.” If you want to learn more about sustainability at Bosch, simply follow the link below.
