It was a friendly 20 mins phone interview. She went through my resume and asked questions about my past experiences and skills. She introduced the job duties and salaries and benefits etc. I'm still waiting for their feedback.
Rather disgusted by the way they handle their recruitment. I was contacted to have a phone screen interview, however after explaining that I was out of the country on vacation and would be back in a few days, I asked if we could have our call at the end of the week.
The recruiter did not respond and has simply ghosted me.
In a way, I should thank the recruiter for showing me their lack of compassion and understanding as I don't care to work at a company that thinks people should drop everything they're doing just to speak to them for an interview. It's a two-way street, I'm not going to spend my vacation while I'm in a different country, speaking to you and if that's considered 'normal' at Amex, then that's a HUGE red flag.
Not a good look for the company at all.
