Administrative Assistant – Mobile Optician (Maternity Cover 12 Month Contract)
About Us
Opticall Mobile Eyecare are a busy family-run mobile Optometry service that brings professional eye care directly to care facilities. We're looking for a detail-oriented Administrative Assistant to cover a maternity leave in order to keep our mobile operation running smoothly.
The Role
You'll be the organizational backbone of our service—managing appointments, coordinating our Optician's schedule, and providing a seamless experience from booking to follow-up.
Key Responsibilities
· Schedule and confirm patient appointments across multiple locations
· Coordinate routes and logistics for the mobile Optician
· Handle patient and care facility inquiries via phone and email
· Maintain accurate patient records and ensure data protection compliance
· Process orders for spectacles with suppliers
· Manage stock of equipment and supplies
· Handle invoicing, payments, and basic bookkeeping
· Liaise with care homes and healthcare providers
· Engrave spectacles with patient names
What We're Looking For
· Fluent in English
· Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
· Excellent communication—friendly and professional manner
· Comfortable with scheduling software and Microsoft Office
· Ability to juggle priorities in a fast-paced environment
· Previous admin experience (healthcare or Optical sector a plus, not essential)
· Understanding of patient confidentiality requirements
