Our land strategy is rooted in identifying areas that support long-term community success. We prioritize places with good schools, access to jobs, transportation corridors, and nearby retail and recreation when identifying land acquisition opportunities. These are the places where vibrant, connected neighborhoods can grow. Recent findings from Homes.com’s What Buyers Want Survey reinforce the importance of this approach. While affordability remains the top priority for both first-time and repeat buyers, nearly 60% of respondents indicated that living in a walkable neighborhood with access to retail and activities is very or extremely important.

Our very own National Director of Design and Model Experience was featured in an article from Better Homes & Gardens on the rise of sensory-friendly design. In the story, Lee shares insights on how intentional design can transform a space into a calming sanctuary. Her advice: “Begin with the end in mind.” Whether you're designing for tranquility, energy or focus, she emphasizes the importance of aligning color and texture choices with the emotional goals of a space.

In partnership with HomeAid Georgia, our Atlanta team helped complete a new Administrative and Reception building at the North Georgia Angel House, a safe haven for girls ages 12 to 21 in Georgia’s foster care system. Our teams and trade partners rolled up their sleeves to clean and landscape the grounds, install doorknobs and hang mirrors and even repaired sinks in another building on campus. This new space will serve as a welcoming hub for family visits, donations, and staff offices, enhancing both safety and privacy for the young residents.
Our seventh annual Sustainability & Belonging Report is now available. This year’s report outlines how Taylor Morrison continues to strengthen operational sustainability, protect natural ecosystems, and design high-quality homes and communities—all while advancing our culture of belonging. “Through tumultuous times we built a resilient backbone, giving us the capacity and confidence to withstand anything and emerge successful,” said our Chairman and CEO, Sheryl Palmer.
We recently found a story out of Indianapolis that touched our hearts and deserves a special highlight. Today, we're introducing you to our Community Sales Manager, Addey. For several years, she has volunteered at the Riley Children’s Health Hospital, specifically at the developmental unit where she helps patients ranging from newborns to young adults in their early 20s. Many children in the unit are alone during the day while their parents tend to work and other family responsibilities, so Addey offers companionship and comfort by holding babies, playing with young children, crafting or enjoying a game of Uno. Her goal is to ensure no child feels lonely or forgotten during their hospital stay. About a year ago, Addey expanded her volunteer work by joining the hospital’s pet therapy team as a Patient Advocate. Alongside her pet therapy partner, Allison, and their dog, Mack, Addey visits different hospital units twice a month, bringing comfort and joy to 15-25 patients each shift, many of whom have been hospitalized for extended periods. Thank you, Addey, for dedicating time to make a difference in the Indianapolis community.
To celebrate the many cultures that make up our team, our SoCal division recently held an international potluck. Team members shared dishes like lumpia from the Philippines, kugelis from Lithuania, and habichuelas guisadas from Puerto Rico—and bonded over the delicious food and the personal stories behind each recipe. Food has a way of bringing people together, and the event was a meaningful reminder of the diverse backgrounds that shape our team and reflect the communities we serve.
It's our favorite time of the year: Intern summer. 👷♀️ Recently, we welcomed 64 interns across our divisions. We are proud to share that the number has doubled from 2023. Our annual internship program, TM Explorer, was designed to provide young professionals with exposure to the rewards of a career in homebuilding. 40 universities are represented; five interns are returning and two came to us by way of our partnership with the Building Talent Foundation (BTF). Welcome, interns, we're so excited to have you at TM!
