The team at Kids Planet Chester is absolutely delighted to have been crowned winners of the Early Years Award at The Standard Education Awards! 🏆 Kids Planet Chester is a wonderful purpose built nursery situated within four acres of private land owned by Chester Rugby Club. There is a range of outdoor play areas and Kids Planet Chester is proud to be ‘Udeskole’ accredited (Kids Planet’s own nature-based learning approach!) working on learning outdoors alongside the parents and wider community.
Our family continues to grow with the addition of Leigh’s Nurseries in the North East – a group of three amazing settings based in Longbenton, Heddon-on-the-Wall and Gateshead. A huge welcome to all the teams, children and families!
This month’s wellbeing initiative was inspired by National Picnic Month. To support team wellbeing, reduce stress and encourage creative thinking and connections, we encouraged our nursery and head office teams to grab a blanket, prepare a picnic, and connect with nature with an alfresco lunch. We walked away winners at the VTCT Awards – with not only the Training Academy being highly commended as a large training provider, but our very own Training Academy Director Gill Mason being award for her ‘Contribution to the sector’! With 30 years in the sector under her belt, Gill believes deeply in the vital importance of the early years and about the role of education in society. She is passionate about providing quality training opportunities for the next and current generation of early years teachers and educators
We are delighted to announce two acquisitions: The Wendy House Day Nursery in Brynford, and Snuggles Day Nursery in Denbigh. The introduction of these two settings expands Kids Planet’s presence in North Wales, after our first step into the region in January with the acquisition of Springfield’s group. The Wendy House is a purpose-built nursery set in a lovely village location with surrounding countryside views. Snuggles serves the families of Denbigh and local communities, also operating an out-of-school club, Snuggle Juniors, at the nearby Ysgol Frongoch.
