Me postulé en línea. El proceso tomó 2 semanas. Acudí a una entrevista en Walmart (Chicago, IL) en may 2016
Entrevista
Put in an app. Got called in about 2-3 days later and was told come in the next day at 2:30pm. Came in and was waiting for my interviewer to come out but he was nowhere to be found so they had a support manager do the interview. They took me and my friend (my friend wasn't called for an interview but did put in an application prior to coming and told them he was there for the interview as well) we all sat down at a small table in subway and he asked one question "tell me about yourself" work related and personal. After that we went to the back and sat down and my friend asked were we hired and they said yeah if we can pass a drug test and background check, so a while went by and they escorted us to the back passed the "employees only" black 2 way doors. We went into a training room / HR office and we filled out paper work for background checks, tax info and etc, then I mentioned that I would like to change my hours Bc I didn't think I would get called so quickly and told her 4:30 to 12 and she asked if I was in school I said yes and she asked if I was a minor and I told her yes so she said we couldn't go through with the hiring process because I'm a minor. So I brought the paper back not the next day but the day after and said she'll resubmit my offer and see if I match the job description so I was a bit disappointed because I was a so sure I had the Job. So about a week and a half at the most 2 went by and I called and asked to get transferred to HR and when I got transferred I told them I was calling to follow up on my hiring process I told her my name etc she said I fall under sales associate and they shed call me back Wednesday (we had this conversation Monday, & today is Tuesday) she said she'll call for me to come in for my job offer and if she doesn't call then call her. So I'm waiting for tomorrow morning to call and I'll update.
Phone interview and then asked to come in for in person interview. The hiring manager asked typical interview questions. Why do you want to work here? And asked bout scheduling availability,
There was a lot of questions but overall it went pretty decent. They were your standard interview questions. I am happy with the outcome but maybe I could do better next time.
The interview was brief but straight forward. I interviewed with someone and was done within 15 minutes. They asked a few questions about myself and past job experience. Then I progressed to the next steps in the hiring process. The next steps where orientation.
