There is typically a phone screen with a recruiter, then you either have a round with HR from the department or go right to a hiring manager round. Then, there is typically a panel before verbal offers are made.

Initial phone interview. In person interview. Then offered position and was asked to respond fairly quickly with decision. In all, was about a month log process from application date to offer and proposed start date.
