I filled out an online application, and a couple days later the manager called asking if I was still searching for a job. I said yes, and he scheduled an interview for the next day. I arrived ten minutes early, and the manager was ten minutes late. He didn't have an office, so we stood behind an open closet door. He asked me when I was available, why I thought I was the best for that job, and how long should it take to make a sandwhich. Then he took me behind the counter, and I had to demonstrate how fast I could do it. I had to cut the bread, lay down the cheese, meat, and lettuce in under a minute. The manager wanted me to come in for more training the next day, and mumbled something about calling me. Since he didn't state a time, I arrived at the same time that I had come yesterday. Two other women joined me. The manager walked in and said I wasn't supposed to be there, I "misinterpreted" what he previously said and he would call me later. Thoroughly mortified, I left and he never called.
