The entire interview process consists of 1 preliminary research experience screen (fit chat?) and an onsite with 4 interviews, covering basic ML knowledge, system design, and simple coding questions. The overall interview process is great and smooth, all the interviewers are very friendly and are very responsible for answering each of my questions.

Submitted application through the Salesforce career website for AI research position - got contacted for phone screening 16 days after the on-line submission - phone screening was scheduled a week afterwards, me and my interviewer spent 30minutes exchanging research backgrounds - onsite interview scheduled a week afterwards - had 5-6 rounds of interview sessions on site - gave a 30-minute research talk to the entire group before the interview starts, which is the part I enjoyed most - the interviews are a mixture of 1-1 and 2-1 sessions, focusing on my background and problem solving skills in machine learning - great thing about the dense schedule is you will have the chance to talk to a number of team members in depth .

Imagine you were hired by a hospital to analyze some of their patient reports. The diagnosis of each report consists of a list of disease IDs, while the body of the report is the symptoms and the medical history of the patient logged down by the doctor in natural language. Propose a model to describe the correlations between the set of symptoms and set of diseases extracted from the patient reports.
