A friend referred me to his boss. I sent my resume to his boss and he set up an informal phone call. That went well so I was forwarded to an HR Recruiter who put me into the "system" and I filled out an online application. Another interview was set up with a co-worker of my initial contact. It was a formal Skype meeting. That apparently went well, the HR recruiter got right back to me and asked if I could fly to a nearby city (2 hr flight) for a panel of six interviews. They booked the flight and hotel for me, I would say very good business accommodations. One of the six interviewers was sick the day of the interviews so that was rescheduled as another Skype meeting later. The other five interviews were back to back, with one being a lunch interview. The HR recruiter was extremely responsive every step of the way, I was never left hanging for more than a day without knowing things were moving forward. Apparently it all went well as they made me an offer, which I accepted. It was about four weeks from initial contact.
