The recruiting manager, Mark, was by far the best part of the interview experience. Not only was he helpful and responsive all the way through the process, but he had also reached out to me for this position. After an interview I had done before didn't work out, I was contacted by Mark for this position because he left that I would be a better fit here.
The first part of the interview was a take-home challenge that involved writing the front-end code for a given example API.
The proceeding steps were: technical phone screen, and onsite visit.
I actually accepted another position mid-interview so I was unable complete the full process with Ebates.

Applied online. Got codility test after one week.
After two weeks had a technical interview with two engineers of the team where they asked me about my previous work among technical questions. As I was comfortable talking in japanese half of the interview was conducted in japanese
After another two weeks had a second interview with the team manager. Mainly questions related with the culture matching. Asked to read Mikitani's books after passing the interview.
After another two weeks had the final interview with the section manager.
