If they feel you are a suitable candidate for the role, you will be forwarded to the next phase immediately after the call. Coding Assignment: You will be given four problems to solve within seven days from the date of assignment. The solutions must be implemented using Scala and Spark, and you are also required to write test classes. The assignments are relatively straightforward; the main purpose is to assess your aptitude for functional programming, as the company’s primary tech stack is based on the Scala/Spark ecosystem. You will be provided with access to an online portal where you can review the requirements and submit your work. After submission, you should be notified within a week whether your work was satisfactory enough to progress to the final stage. Final Interview: This stage is more technical and can last up to two hours. You will be interviewed by at least two senior engineers from the team. It consists of three segments: Project Presentation: You will present a project you have worked on, with 15 minutes allocated for your presentation. Afterward, the interviewers will ask questions about it from various angles. Coding Assignment Review: You will be asked about your coding assignment submission, including possible modifications, test cases, and your thought process when designing the solution. Case Study Exercise: You will be given a dummy case similar to Quantexa’s day-to-day work. This part is not coding-heavy; its purpose is to test your reasoning, attention to detail, and problem-solving approach.
