Phone screening, 1:1 with a team member, coding homework and presentation to the head of department and one of the senior architects. 1:1 was about skills and experience. Coding was a set of tasks to process simple datasets using Scala and Apache Spark. And in the end I had to present one of my previous projects, explain the idea, architecture, challenges and decisions made. Last two I found challenging enough, but not extremely hard

There were 4 rounds to my interview process: a screening call with the recruiter (Liam), an interview with a Solutions Architect (Martin), a Technical Coding Assignment (made up of three questions) and finally a 2 hour case study and Q/A session with the Solutions Architecture Lead (Chris) and a Senior Solutions Architect (Iestyn). Throughout the process Liam was my main point of contact, he was very helpful and kept me fully informed throughout the process. Overall a positive experience.

The interview process was a great experience, with Liam acting as my main point of contact. He was always ready to answer any questions I had, which was greatly appreciated. After the initial call with Liam, I had a more technical call with a Senior Solution Architect. He explained the different challenges and technologies that the team employs on a day-to-day basis which was really insightful. What followed was a coding challenge that, despite being in a language I was less familiar with, turned out to be an engaging learning experience. I was provided with ample resources to get me up to speed and approach the challenge with my best foot forward. In the final interview, I presented a recent technical project I worked on, facilitating a detailed and engaging discussion with the team's Senior Solution Architect and the Solution Architecture Lead. The conversation was constructive, and many questions were asked about my design choices and methodologies. It not only allowed them to understand my perspective better but created a space where I could learn from their feedback and even gain some knowledge on topics like the Linux filesystem cache, which I found to be really interesting. Looking back, the entire process was seamless and genuinely enjoyable, leaving me excited to commence with Quantexa.
