Overall, I found the panel process needlessly cumbersome. One of my panelists had audio issues causing us to turn off cameras and it made communication difficult. Another panelist mentioned they were on their first call of the day and yawned throughout. I was given no information on who I'd talk to or what their roles were or even if I'd directly work with the people I was going to talk to. That made it difficult to prepare for the conversations and to get a feel for the team dynamics. I don't see how a process like this could have taken the best representation of me as a possible Microsoft employee and since the results of the panel can be used for other roles at Microsoft, it is unlikely for me to get a fair chance at any other role within the organization.
