I applied through employee referral. Had a phone interview, then onsite (in Hillsboro, OR) interview after 20 days and finally a job offer after 7 days of onsite. Whole process took about a month and was very smooth. A 9am -3pm interview : 45 min presentation ( 5 audience) in the morning, followed by 3 one-one interview with group leader, plant manager and lab manager (latter 3 were not part of the presentation).

Any experience working with technicians? How did you resolve a conflict when you (a PhD) receive sometimes contradictory advises from your manager and a technician (20 years experience)?

Process begins with a phone screen with recruiter, followed by hiring manager discussion, then onsite interviews consisting of several one-on-one sessions, where candidates are usually expected to deliver a presentation.
It was pretty straightforward overall. They mainly asked questions about my resume, previous work experience, and the projects and research work I completed during my graduate studies. The conversation was conversational and focused on understanding my background and technical experience.
