I interviewed for a role and unfortunately had a disappointing experience. The panel came across as rigid and dismissive, especially the lead interviewer who lacked basic courtesy and professionalism. The overall tone felt like an interrogation, not a collaborative or respectful technical discussion.
What stood out most was how outdated their technology stack and release processes were — reminiscent of setups I worked with nearly a decade ago. Their questions focused heavily on specific older tools, with little interest in broader experience or modern practices. At one point, I was asked how to run a command in a tool I haven’t used in years, despite explaining I’ve been working with more current frameworks and CI/CD systems.
It felt like they were looking for someone to match their existing setup exactly, rather than someone who could improve or modernize it.
I ultimately declined the role. Since then, I’ve had great conversations with other companies that value adaptability, professionalism, and forward-thinking engineering. The contrast was clear.
Let this be a reminder: interviews are a two-way process. You're a professional evaluating whether a team, company, and role are helping you grow. Respect your value. Choose where you invest your time wisely.

At one point, they asked me a very basic question about how to something using an outdated command in an old tool I haven't used in nearly 7 years — despite me clearly explaining I’ve been working with more modern frameworks and CI/CD pipelines. It felt like they weren’t interested in adaptability or depth, just checkbox answers.

During interview i have 3 times asked DSA on every level DSA round was going to level up with difficult Problems. But i failed in third time DSA technical round due to level of DSA asked. I am not sure why to many rounds prefer. They have not asked the real question about my work and experience in third round i prepared for system design, scenario based with my mindset.
But I personally feel company will be quite good to work. Don't consider its bad review.

Had two virtual interviews: HR followed by a technical.
The HR interview was the standard process of getting your career background, why you're interested in the role, etc. Essentially finding out if you're a culture fit.
The technical interview was virtual with you being interviewed by 4 engineers. The questions covered high level concepts of technology and processes you have used on projects listed on your resume.
The problem was that one of the interviewers dominated the interview, consistently interrupting both me while responding, and their fellow interviewers to ask their own questions (looking at the faces for some of the interviewers, they were surprised at this occurring).
This felt very unprofessional on that person and ruined an otherwise fine interview session.
After that, I was ghosted by the talent acquisition manager for the company for weeks. This was after they had insisted they needed to move quickly to hire someone and how responsive they had been before the technical interview.
At least give the courtesy of an email rejection to candidates.

What was a problem that occurred in production and how did you fix it?
Two rounds. One technical screening round followed by a technical interview.
Whole process was about two weeks long. First round was to check your fit to the role and talked about past experiences mentioned on your Resume.
