The interview process was easy to moderate, consisting of two face-to-face rounds in Pune (drive) for a Backend Developer (Node.js) role. However, the overall experience was quite disappointing. I traveled extensively to attend the interviews and invested almost two full days. Despite clearly communicating my salary expectations upfront, I was later informed that they did not have the required budget to make an offer. As a result, I declined. This situation could have been avoided with better internal alignment. Candidates invest significant time and effort, and such mismatches should be addressed before scheduling interviews. I would strongly suggest confirming the budget clearly with them before proceeding, as their budget appears to be quite low.
