I recently got selected by Coforge for the Graduate Engineer Trainee (GET) role through an on-campus hiring drive. Here's a detailed breakdown of my experience, which I hope helps future aspirants preparing for similar roles.
🧠 Round 1: Online Assessment
This round was divided into three major sections:
Aptitude Section
Included questions from:
Quantitative Aptitude
Numerical Reasoning
Logical Reasoning
Spatial Ability
Computer Science Fundamentals
Multiple-choice questions on basic concepts such as Operating Systems, DBMS, Computer Networks, and OOPs.
Coding Section
One medium-level coding question based on topics such as arrays, linked lists, strings, sorting, etc.
The topic varied based on the set of the paper.
🗣️ Round 2: Communication & Verbal Ability
This round tested verbal and written communication skills. It included:

Fill in the Blanks
Essay Writing
Speak for 2 Minutes on a given topic
This round evaluated pronunciation, grammar, coherence, and overall fluency.
💻 Round 3: Technical Interview
This was an in-depth technical interview lasting around 40 minutes.
Key Highlights:
Introduction: The interview began with a brief self-introduction.
Project Discussion: I explained the features, implementation, and technologies used in my projects.
Programming:
I was asked which language I was comfortable with — I chose Java.
Given a series of numbers, I had to print the series using for and while loops (on paper).
Java Concepts:
Detailed discussion on Multithreading: how threads are created and executed in Java.
Deep dive into OOPs Concepts: I was asked to explain all four principles and the difference between encapsulation and abstraction.
Database Design:
I was asked to design an Employee database schema on paper.
I wrote SQL queries and applied Normalization up to 2NF.
💬 Final Round: HR Interview
This round was focused more on understanding my personality and communication skills.
Discussion Topics:
Internship Experience: Shared my learnings and responsibilities.
Freelancing at GeeksforGeeks: Talked about the nature of work, projects, and stipend.
Family Background & Hobbies: Basic personal details and interests.
The HR was mainly evaluating my communication and confidence.

Just two hours after completing all the rounds, I received the exciting news —
I was selected for the Graduate Engineer Trainee (GET) role at Coforge!
