Interview started with phone interview which I passed and was invited for an onsite interview in Amsterdam. They only took care of the flight ticket and hotel with breakfast (other meals they said they can't cover). I was told to keep the receipts (visa application, transportation, etc.), but they actually never paid me back anything which was a huge negative point for me as I spent over $200 on the visa app and transportation which I am never getting back!! The interview itself had 4 parts: 1- HR: was fine. Nothing special about it, just giving info about the city and the company and knowing more about me. 2- Coding interview: it was about a game that I never heard about before and they didn't give me all the rules at once. They kept remembering about some new rule whenever I start coding and when I got the final feedback, I was told that I didn't do ok because I didn't know the rules!! 3- Design interview: I believe it went very good, but I never got any feedback about this one 4- Management interview: mainly about "what things I have faced during my career" and I was told that there was a big red flag here because I didn't answer accurately and it took time to reach the answer the interviewer was looking for. This also didn't make any sense because the questions were not clear and of course it took some conversation time to reach the actual point her was looking for. The interview was one of the easiest I have ever faced (comparing to others I got in Microsoft, Facebook, Google, Amazon, Linkedin, Crytek and more) but for some reason I don't even know what went wrong cause the feedback I got was totally weird! Overall, the interview process was a total waste of time but I actually enjoyed the city very well Payment wise, the salaries there are not that great, they would have been only about 75% of what I am making now in Amazon Shanghai, which put it effectively at about 50% of what I am making now (Taking cost of living into consideration)
