Was obviously pre-ordained for another candidate, so despite a team of interviewers and a process that lasted the full day the job was NOT truly available. Promotions from within to director rare, yet one can LEAVE the company to a competitor for a few years then come back into a director or VP slot. doesn't seem to make much sense
