Me postulé en línea. El proceso tomó 2 meses. Acudí a una entrevista en BAE Systems USA (Burlington, MA) en oct 2010

      Entrevista

Applied online in late July. Received a call from the HR Director in Mid-August. A week after that I was scheduled for a 1 hour phone interview with a division lead. The phone interview consisted mainly of questions about my resume and my relevant research experience. The interviewer asked detailed questions about the specifics of my work experience, often asking why I made a particular decision, what alternatives did I consider in my work, as well as the motivation for my research. At the conclusion of the interview, the interviewer said they would get back to me within 1-2 weeks if they were going to invite me in for an onsite interview. At the beginning of the third week I received an invitation to come in to give a 30-40 minute research talk followed by a full day of interviews. The day started at 8am. They sent a limo service to pick me up. I met first with the HR director who gave me an overview of the company, next I met with the division head for 45 minutes. The research talk was next followed by 2 more 45 minute interviews with various engineers and a 1 hour lunch. After lunch I have another 2 45 minute interviews followed by a quick 15 minute wrap up with the division head I met in the morning. There was little to no break between the interviews, and each one asked me to both explain my research (which was easy to do), but also posed questions of how my experience could be an asset to the group and various projects which were on going. The culture was more academic (research oriented) than other companies I had interviewed with to that point, however there is a strong focus on applying the research to solving important problems. Everyone gets their own office which is nice, but I got the sense that people and environment were a bit more formal and constrained than what I would prefer. Everyone I met was very nice, and really seemed to enjoy what they were doing, and several engineers expressed that they really liked the amount of autonomy that they had.

      Preguntas de entrevista [1]

      Pregunta 1

Given a matrix representing detection data from a sensor (which tells you whether there is a target or not in the area of interest), how would you construct an algorithm to select the location of the detected data and store it into an array.
