I was so excited for the opportunity to interview at my literal dream company. However the interview process left such an awful taste in my mouth I felt compelled to leave a review. I was referred by a current employee and contact for an initial phone screen with recruiter. The screen consisted of general background of me and the role. During the call my recruiter was clearly distracted, eating lunch and I couldn’t really read her. She did however provide some great feedback for me going into the next step. I was very appreciative of her transparent demeanor. Following this a different recruiter confirmed with me my next interview with hiring manager. Fast forward to less than 24 hours before my interview- I am contacted by my initial recruiter with a generic “thank you for applying” decline email. At this point I’ve spend hours preparing, learning the platform etc. Not only was I extremely confused, I felt undervalued and disregarded. I responded for clarification as I was meant to interview the next day- her response is that the position has been canceled? Not very on brand for a company like Atlassian, who pride themselves on openness, not #!?% the customer etc. I am seriously disappointed with their lack of professionalism and clear disregard of my time and efforts.

Thorough but more of a lengthy process—six interviews, including a values interview, presentation, and role play. Not difficult, but time-consuming; requires strong preparation. Numerous questions about your experience, how you'd handle various scenarios, and your motivation for wanting to join Atlassian.
