Got a call from a recruiter, then a call from an engineer, we had to do this twice because the engineer forgot about me the first time - I took a time off for that ... , no technical questions, then on site. No one told me what will happen on site. I got there and learned there will be 5 rounds of interviews with different teams taking up the whole day ... well I didn't expect that but answered almost all their questions correctly. All were friendly or "professional" throughout the process. When it came to the last interview to discuss the salary, suddenly the friendly guy became very business like, almost antagonistic, implying the salary that he had no problem with during the phone interview is not acceptable. Is this some negotiation tactic or something? Who knows. However 50k for a senior software engineer is apparently too much money for them. A few days later I got an e-mail from the HR that my skills were not up to their level ... despite answering all the interview questions correctly. Frankly I feel disrespected and got the impression is a toxic workplace, so would not recommend anyone getting a job here.
