referred in thru friend. fairly standard first call (albeit with a contract recruiter), then a chat w/ a recruiting manager, followed by a takehome/onsite.
I have several good friends who worked there but dropped out before the onsite, given it seemed a bit chaotic and groupthink-y. There is a detailed process, which is a plus, but it's pretty slow and there was confusion about whether I should do a takehome or not. Also, lots of talk about diversity but the definition seems to be fairly narrow (top school, top companies, talk/act a certain way) - one of my interviewers compared it to their ultra competitive high school. I'm guessing there will be a lot of growing pains for the team as things scale beyond the founders, though I think they'll overall still draw enough talent who wants to work with cutting edge AI teams to succeed.
Ended up dropping out to pursue other opportunities and cancelled the onsite

Two phone screens and a take-home assignment that took around 4-5 hours total to complete. Overall a good experience but with minimal feedback on the assignment that was a good chunk of time.

How would you handle a candidate who was told they were a 'no' but then got angry and wanted specific feedback?
