Within a few days of applying, I was contacted for a screening call with a talent specialist, followed by a first-stage interview with the hiring manager around ten days later. Both interviews were competency-based and focused on my technical skills and prior achievements. Following the interview, I followed up with the talent specialist a couple of times over a two-week period before eventually receiving a response after my fourth attempt telling me my application was unsuccessful. Unfortunately, the feedback provided was generic and lacked any specific insight. I was disappointed by the lack of communication post-interview from the talent specialist. The sudden drop-off in engagement left a negative impression, and I’m unsure whether this was due to inexperience or simple oversight. Regardless, timely and transparent communication is an important part of the candidate experience and something I feel could be improved. Advice: show some gumption and don't ghost candidates.
