Senior AI Engineer / Full Stack Engineer

About the role

As a Senior Full Stack Engineer, you’ll be an influential member of our product and engineering team, leading R&D investigations into candidate product and technology applications, building new products from 0 to 1, and working with an interested and inspired team to continuously enhance and scale our category-defining platform and the systems that support it. You’ll collaborate closely with fellow engineers, product managers, sales and operations leaders to tackle real business, technology and customer-facing problems that will have a direct, and highly visible, impact on the success of our products and the families that depend on them.

**This is a hands-on software engineering role. You will join a small team of experienced engineers that are interested in the “why”, care about quality, and love to ship products.

What we’re looking for:

● +8 years of professional experience in software engineering, building customer-facing software (startup experience preferred)

● Proven track record working with our technology stack: Node, Typescript, React, Terraform, Github Actions, AWS (preferred; not required)

● Exposure to leadership or mentorship roles, particularly on a remote development team

● Ability to lead design and implement efficient RESTful APIs and microservices

● BA/BS in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent experience

● Attention to technical excellence, and proficiency with object-oriented programming

● Ideal candidate will have working knowledge of Open AI and have demonstrable use cases of integrating Open AI into your workflow.

● Ability to pair, mentor and inspire other developers through action

● Ideal candidate will have built an application that consumed AI via APIs, doing little-to-no model training or layering –– just "prompt engineering". Tools like Agents, n8n, Playwright, Selenium, CI/CD, Cucumber/SpecFlow

● Ideal candidate will have built an application that leveraged a RAG system to layer multiple information sources on top of GPT/knowledge bases to augment intelligent and response quality

● Example use cases: image classification, text analysis, tabular data analysis, translation and language models

● Knowledge of cloud native software development, modern DevOps and security standards, patterns and best practices

● Experience scaling applications with containers and container orchestration frameworks

● Fluent in English (C1 level or higher), with experience working in English-speaking teams.

Bonus stuff

● Domain experience working on process automation and/or document processing and manipulation projects at commercial scale.

● Technical expertise in distributed systems

● Familiarity deploying 3P document manipulation libraries, data mapping and templating technologies to automate repetitive, rule-based document processing and data entry tasks that typically require human intervention.

Pay: $100,000.00 - $120,000.00 per month
