- SDA community in the heart of Bowen Hills with a dedicated on-site support hub
- Paid induction, hands-on training, and supported shadow shifts
- Competitive hourly rates from $32 to $45 + super + penalty rates
Looking for a role where your experience is valued, your development is supported, and your work genuinely changes lives?
Kanda is seeking experienced Disability Support Workers to join our innovative On-Site Shared Support team in Bowen Hills. This is a unique opportunity to work within a purpose-built Specialist Disability Accommodation (SDA) community, supporting participants to live independently while having the backing of a dedicated on-site team.
Unlike traditional support work, you'll be part of a collaborative model that combines autonomy, teamwork, and responsive care. Working from a central support hub, you'll provide both planned and responsive supports, helping participants maintain their independence, achieve their goals, and enjoy greater choice and control in their everyday lives.
If you're someone who thrives in dynamic environments, enjoys problem-solving, and is passionate about delivering high-quality, person-centred support, we'd love to hear from you.
About You
We're looking for someone who:
- Has previous experience in disability support, SDA, SIL, supported accommodation, or community services environments
- Has experience supporting individuals with complex behaviours and implementing behaviour support strategies
- Remains calm, adaptable, and professional in changing situations
- Demonstrates excellent communication, documentation, and interpersonal skills
- Is committed to person-centred support and promoting participant independence
- Holds or is willing to obtain an NDIS Worker Screening Clearance and Working with Children Check
- Holds a current First Aid and CPR Certificate or is willing to obtain one
- Has full Australian working rights
- Holds a valid P2 or Open Driver's Licence and has access to a reliable, insured vehicle
