About the role
We're a U.S. home-energy company — HVAC, solar, insulation — building a pipeline of Mexico's strongest mechanical engineers to support U.S. hiring through the TN visa pathway. Your job is to find them: the ones who aren't answering ads, the ones already doing serious work in maquiladoras and industrial plants, the ones no other recruiter has reached. This is a hunt, not a desk job.
What you'll actually do
- Hunt experienced mechanical/HVAC engineers across Mexico — Monterrey, Guadalajara, CDMX, and the industrial corridors.
- Find people who aren't looking, through whatever channel works: engineering associations, alumni networks, maquiladora communities, referrals, targeted social ads, and sharp LinkedIn sourcing.
- Open conversations and build real relationships, in Spanish and English.
- Qualify candidates against the TN "Engineer" profile and run a clean pipeline in our CRM — every lead tracked, every follow-up on time.
Who you're hunting
Degreed mechanical engineers with 5+ years of hands-on HVAC or industrial field experience — maquiladora and plant backgrounds preferred. Not fresh graduates. People who've done the work, not just studied it.
Who you are
- Relentless, not aggressive. You follow the trail, test channels, and build trust — you don't spam people or burn bridges.
- Credible. You can sit across from a 15-year plant engineer and earn their respect.
- Creative. "Post an ad and wait" isn't in your vocabulary.
- Fluent English and Spanish — you work in both every day.
- Self-driven, with the judgment to know the line between following up and harassing.
The line we don't cross
Hunt creatively, but clean: no fake identities, no spam blasts, no scraping sketchy or private data. Respect platform rules and people's privacy. We win on creativity and persistence — not shortcuts.
Pay
This is paid hourly work, not commission-only. Base is $7/hr USD, paid in USD or the MXN equivalent, plus a real bounty: $250 USD for every engineer you source who clears our qualification screen, and $1,500+ USD on a successful hire. Uncapped. Roughly 20–25 hrs/week to start. Top performers grow into a full, paid talent-acquisition role as we scale.

The first step is a short sourcing assessment. We want to see how you think, how you would find hard-to-reach mechanical/HVAC engineers in Mexico, and how you communicate in Spanish and English.
