Job Summary
We are seeking a friendly and efficient Coffee Shop Assistant/Barista to join our vibrant team. Duties

• Prepare and serve a variety of hot and cold beverages, including coffee, tea, and specialised drinks, ensuring consistency and quality.
• Assist customers with their orders in a courteous and professional manner.
• Maintain cleanliness of workstations, equipment, and customer areas in accordance with food safety standards.
• Handle cash transactions accurately and operate the point-of-sale system efficiently.
• Restock supplies such as cups, lids, condiments, and ingredients as needed throughout shifts.
• Follow food safety protocols diligently to ensure compliance with health regulations.
• Support food preparation tasks when required, including assembling sandwiches or snacks.
• Manage time effectively during busy periods to ensure prompt service.
• Uphold high standards of hygiene and presentation at all times.

Skills

• Previous barista experience is preferred but not essential; training will be provided for the right candidate.
• Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in handling food and beverages.
• Experience in serving customers with a friendly and professional attitude.
• Basic maths skills for handling cash transactions accurately.
• Ability to prepare food items efficiently while maintaining quality standards.
• Strong organisational skills with excellent time management to handle peak periods smoothly.
