About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Database Developer to support multiple application teams as our database expert. You will focus on database performance, writing efficient SQL, and helping teams choose the right database solutions. This role works closely with developers and cloud infrastructure and plays a key part in improving application speed and scalability.

Job Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and optimize SQL queries, stored procedures, views, and functions
• Work with Azure SQL Server and PostgreSQL databases
• Monitor and improve database performance (query tuning, indexing, scaling)
• Support development teams (Laravel, Django, Flask) with database design and best practices
• Recommend when to use relational vs. non-relational databases
• Assist in migrating legacy PHP/Laravel logic into optimized SQL solutions
• Review database usage and recommend improvements
• Collaborate with DevOps and infrastructure teams

Job Qualifications:

• Strong experience with Azure SQL Server (T-SQL) and PostgreSQL
• Solid understanding of relational and NoSQL databases (e.g., MongoDB, Redis, Cosmos DB)
• Proven experience in database performance tuning and optimization
• Ability to write complex SQL queries
• Experience working with application frameworks like Laravel, Django, or Flask
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
• Able to handle production databases confidently

Nice to Have:

• Experience with Azure database tools and monitoring
• Hands-on experience with NoSQL databases
• Knowledge of Redis or caching strategies
• Familiarity with ORMs and database migrations
• Experience with CI/CD or database automation
• Azure or database-related certifications
