We’re excited to share some Rise updates: We proudly supported 2,472 individuals in 2023, providing customized services that empower people to achieve their personal and professional goals. From employment to life enrichment programs, Rise has continued to broaden its impact across the Twin Cities Metro and beyond. 323 individuals earned new competitive jobs in the community last year, earning an average wage of $15.72/hour. Our commitment to fair and equitable wages was further demonstrated as we met our 2024 goal of ending special minimum wage programs. Rise also invested in group community employment, developing both new and existing partnerships with employers like nVent, Cummins, and HOM Furniture to offer competitive wage positions to individuals with disabilities in integrated community settings. Our life enrichment programs also saw growth and change. We consolidated and renovated our spaces, including major updates in Anoka, Forest Lake, and Cottage Grove, thanks to support from Community Development Block Grants. We also launched an exciting intergenerational project in partnership with the YMCA of the North, supported by the Blue Cross Blue Shield Foundation, to bring people with disabilities and seniors together to combat loneliness. Finally, we celebrated a year of advocacy wins in 2023, including legislative investments in disability services and transportation improvements, ensuring a brighter future for the people we serve!
