We are pleased to announce that the shareholders of hashtag#RHIMagnesita have today approved the appointment of Katarina Lindström as an Independent Non-Executive Director, taking female representation on our Board of Directors to 33% and reaching our target of 33% by 2025. Nonetheless, the Board is already challenging itself in its hashtag#diversity policy to reach 45% representation in due course. Chairman of the Board, Herbert Cordt commented: “We are delighted to formally welcome Katarina to our Company. Katarina has been attending Board meetings in an observer capacity since November 2023 and we can already see the value that her skills and expertise, particularly in operations, is bringing to the Company.” With the appointment of Katarina, RHI Magnesita’s Board of Directors now numbers 15 members. Leading the Green Change in Refractories - Advancing Sustainability Together! I am very happy to share the highlights of our recent RHI Magnesita Sustainability Meeting on 9th April in Bucharest. Supported by my team members, Uxia Dieguez Salgado and Michael Freiler, I had the pleasure to organize that event in collaboration with our Sales team Steel Eastern Europe at RHI Magnesita. This engaging event brought together industry leaders, customers, and internal teams to explore innovative solutions and advance sustainability in the steel and refractory industries. ⭐ Event Highlights ⭐ Collaborative Learning: Our event focused on fostering collaboration and knowledge sharing among stakeholders. Our colleagues presented the latest developments, challenges, and opportunities in sustainable practices within the steel and refractory industry concluding by showing sustainable solutions for our customers. Holistic Sustainability Approach: We emphasized that sustainability goes beyond CO2 emissions. It's about building long-term partnerships to define ideas, take actionable steps, and create a sustainable impact towards a greener future. Innovative recycling technologies: Attendees learned about cutting-edge sorting machines and new technologies aimed at maximizing the quality consistency of circular raw materials recovered out of spent refractories. Using circular raw materials helps close the cycle and has a significant impact on reducing Scope 3 emissions for our customers...

Definitely one of my highlights of the year: Getting together with our RHIMagnesita regional leadership team! Two dynamic days filled with insightful discussions and thought-provoking sessions at our 2nd European Leaders Forum! It was a pleasure to delve into key topics such as #Leadership, Diversity, Equity & Inclusion as well as Integration & ongoing business transformation projects with more than 120 RHI Magnesita leaders from across Europe, CIS and Turkey. We had the opportunity to deep dive into #DEI topics with the help from Annette Collisy-Lenzen, Prof. Dr. Jamie Gloor & David O'Connor from the University of St.Gallen.Gallen. Illuminating these concepts, broadening our perspectives, and emphasizing their significance in fostering equity. One of the highlights of the event was the series of interactive workshops designed to break down complex topics into fun exercises. These workshops provided participants with hands-on experiences and practical tools to navigate the challenges of our current business transformation. From engaging role-playing scenarios to collaborative problem-solving activities, attendees had the opportunity to apply theoretical knowledge in a dynamic and interactive setting. The workshops fostered creativity, encouraged active participation, and ultimately empowered individuals to drive positive hashtag#change within our organizations.
