HR leaders are shifting their attention away from traditional education credentials and placing a greater emphasis on a candidate’s skills, Fortune reports. A new survey from ETS, an educational testing organization, found that nearly 90% of CHROs now say their companies are increasingly hiring beyond the four-year college degree. That shift could stem from concern over a tightening talent pipeline—about 79% of HR professionals anticipate difficulty finding qualified candidates in the near future. Meanwhile, 81% of global employees believe that by 2035, demonstrated skills will hold the same value as a university degree.
