⚙️ We run LevelUp on EOS because good systems support great people. Our internal team which are the people handling hiring, HR, finance, and operations all work inside a clear structure. We use EOS to set priorities, solve issues, and keep the business aligned. It helps us show up better for our clients, and for our offshore teams. While each offshore employee integrates into their client’s systems and rhythms, behind the scenes, we’re practicing what we preach: clear roles, real accountability, and structure without micromanagement. Because a smooth backend makes a world of difference on the front end.
We shared recently that you would be hearing from more people behind the scenes at LevelUp. Now I did mention the CEO and those videos are in the works but we’ve also opened up our blog for employees to contribute to. We’ve got blog posts so far ranging from how it is to work at LevelUp to employees diving into their subject matter expertise, like design and recruitment. Different topics, same goal which is to create a space where team members can share what they know, how they think, and why they care about what they do. It’s a way of us demonstrating that LevelUp is a company of experts. And, ofc, we pay bonuses for every blog published. Because sharing knowledge is valuable work and we want to provide employees other ways to grow 🩵
Last week at our company TownHall, we tried something new. We invited anonymous questions from the team before the TownHall and our leadership team answered them live. The goal was to listen to employees and not just give updates. So we opened up space for honest conversation by making questions anonymous so people could ask even the tough or uncomfortable kind. And while it might seem like a small format change, it’s a big signal of what we care about: * Transparency over polish * Dialogue over monologue * Trust over control We're building a culture where questions are welcome, curiosity is safe, and leadership is human. This was just one step but an important one.
We’re cooking up something a little different behind the scenes right now. Over the next few weeks, you’ll start hearing more directly from the people building LevelUp including our CEO, some of our amazing team members, and maybe even a few unexpected voices because it’s not just the marketing team who is getting involved, it’s a company wide initiative. We’re leaning into transparency, storytelling, and showing you what it really looks like to grow a people-first offshore hiring company in 2025 and what we’ve learned over the last 8 years. Can’t wait to share more soon 💛
Meet, John, one of our original team members. He’s been at LevelUp from the early days. In this short video, he reflects on what it’s been like to grow alongside the company and how the team supports him. You might have noticed that personal growth is BIG at LevelUp and one of the ways we support it is by focussing on wellness at work. Every Thursday at LevelUp, our team is invited to pause, reset, and grow thanks to Thrive on Thursdays, an initiative led by our amazing HR Director, Katinca. These 1-hour weekly sessions are designed to support personal and professional wellbeing. We’re 3 weeks in and so far, we’ve explored: ✨ Breathwork & meditation 💰 Financial wellness 🧭 Guided self-reflection to help us reach our goals Whether it’s inner calm or smart money habits, we’re big believers in building a workplace that helps people thrive. #LifeAtLevelUp #WellbeingAtWork #PeopleFirst #RemoteTeamCulture
🖐️ The High-Five Hive is officially buzzing 🐝 We’ve recently launched a channel called #high-five-hive and it’s quickly become one of our favourite corners of LevelUp. It’s a space purely for shoutouts where we lift each other up, celebrate the small wins, and give big cheers to teammates who go above and beyond (which happens a lot). And because recognition should feel good in more ways than one, our PH-based team members now earn bonus points when they get a shoutout. Those points can be redeemed on Polka.ph where you can shop for everything from snacks to self-care. Because feeling valued shouldn't be a rare thing. It should be a regular part of how we work. And this little hive of kindness is a big step in making that happen.
One of our earliest employees just hosted a community event in Manila this weekend. This is a milestone that marks how far he’s come, and how much he’s giving back. In his own words, it was the coaching and confidence-building from our founders that helped him grow, not just in skill, but in self-belief. Now, part of his working week at LevelUp is dedicated to giving back to the WordPress community that helped build our foundation. We’re proud to support career growth that goes beyond the job description and we're extremely proud of Jhim 💙 #LifeAtLevelUp #CareerGrowth #CommunityLeadership #PersonalGrowth #RemoteWorkCulture
Quarterly planning and coffee ☕️ Despite being a remote team, we’re still very much in sync …both with work and coffee consumption. This is the marketing team quarterly planning sessions, where we came together (virtually) to reflect, plan, and set the course for the months ahead. It’s proof that distance doesn’t stop great teamwork or the shared love of a good brew. #RemoteWork #QuarterlyPlanning #TeamCulture #CoffeeAndCollaboration #InsideLevelUp
🎉 We’ve officially hit 150 team members at LevelUp! From a small team of 8 back in 2017 to a thriving team of 150 strong …what a journey it’s been. This milestone means more than just numbers. It represents: * 150 incredible humans who bring their talent, drive, and heart to work every day. * 150 reasons we believe in building offshore teams that add value to our business and the businesses of our clients. * And 150 reminders that growth done the right way, with care, trust, and alignment, is always worth it. We’re proud to create jobs that feel meaningful, supportive, and empowering. And we’re even prouder of the culture we’ve built together. Here’s to the next chapter (and the next 150 🥳). #WeAreLevelUp #CompanyMilestone #PeopleFirst #OffshoreHiring #TeamCulture #150Strong
