JAKALA and its Commitment to Gender Equality For the International Women’s Day, JAKALA has joined the “Countdown to International Women’s Day” campaign promoted by UN Women and now will take part in the learning journey organized by the UN Global Compact Academy. This international pathway is designed to help companies turn principles into concrete actions through four webinars dedicated to key topics: trends and data on gender equality and the role of the Women’s Empowerment Principles, reducing the gender pay gap, building inclusive supply chains, and strengthening women’s leadership in digital transformation. This moment of discussion is part of a broader journey that JAKALA has been pursuing for years. In the coming weeks, the Gender Equality Steering Committee will meet to approve the new 2026–2028 Three-Year Plan, continuing the path started with the UNI/PdR 125:2022 certification obtained in 2025 by JAKALA S.p.A. SB and in 2023 by JAKALA Civitas. Established in 2023, the Committee is the internal body responsible for overseeing and monitoring gender equality initiatives: it defines objectives and KPIs, promotes training programs and awareness initiatives, and periodically reviews results to ensure alignment with the UNI/PdR 125 standards and with the international commitments undertaken by the Group.
