It's Global Service Day (GSD) at GMR! Keep your eyes peeled for StoryMakers in the wild as we’ll be out in our communities volunteering for our third annual GSD. As an aside, we give 2 paid volunteer days each year. We'll just link our hiring page below for you - just in case. https://lnkd.in/enmuHeJz
🎉 Finalist Status Unlocked 🏆 Congratulations to #GMRClient Xfinity for making Digiday's Best Gaming/Esports campaign shortlist. Digiday recognizes brands creating experiences that allow consumers to engage directly with their content, leading to deeper connections. Breaking a world record (and making gaming history) at the 2023 Esports Awards was certainly unforgettable. Winners are announced October 1 and we'll be anxiously waiting. 🫣
What's cooking? We’re kicking off Hispanic Heritage Month with an EDEIC reflection from GMR’s Chief Commercial Officer Adam Lippard. Together, he and Sophie Maldonado, our VP of DEI, discussed one of the greatest ways to learn more about different ethnicities and cultures: through food. Sophie reflected on her own ancestral food made by her grandmother, like hot chocolate and sopa in the winter time. These weren't written recipes to follow, rather everything was measured by the heart. When we talk about food, we're talking about tradition, too.
Check out GMR StoryMaker Jillian Ward's reflection on a successful (and busy) PGA TOUR with #GMRClient Bushmills Irish Whiskey. 10 tournaments across 6 states in 9 months—hats off to the entire team for continuing to innovate and push the fan experience.
Your game day is about to get more thrilling. We've been partnering with Nissan to bring the Heisman House to fans for the past 5 years. And nothing screams a plus-up quite like an anniversary. The Nissan Heisman House is back and better than ever. Rolling into college campuses with the latest lineup of Nissan vehicles, the most legendary players in the game, and a brand new inflatable two-story mansion. Check the schedule to see when the Nissan Heisman House is rolling into a game day near you.
GMR was created in 1979 with a concert series for a beer brand, so you knew it was only a matter of time before Elke and Max talked about their years of experience helping brands activate in bar scenes across the globe. But why can those activation be both a blessing and a curse? And what truly leads to effective memory making in a setting where people are actively partaking in something that impairs memory and shortens attention spans? Just over a year ago GMR’s Adam Lippard sat down with Team USA Paralympian Ezra Frech and CEO & founder of Angel City Sports Clayton Frech to talk about brand investment and creating awareness for the Paralympic Movement. At the time a Paralympic Gold in Paris was an idea—today it’s a reality. Congratulations to Ezra on bringing home not one but TWO gold medals in the Men’s High Jump T63 and the 100m T63! 🥇🥇
We're back in action. Bring on the Paralympic Games! 🥇
The joy of the Olympics lies in the unmatched historical memories it has created for athletes and spectators to share over generations. On this week's episode of the Voice of Experience #podcast, Elke talks to Max about what memories he made during his time in Paris at this year's Games, including which brands stood out with their live storytelling throughout the venues and the city, as well as what innovations he noticed that may carry over to Milan in 2026 and Los Angeles in 2028. And what was that pin Snoop was wearing? Why are pins a thing at the Olympics anyway? All that and more on this week's VoX. Subscribe on...
