To meet the increasing need for caregivers in Minnesota's senior care industry, LeadingAge Minnesota and Care Providers of Minnesota are launching "Caring Careers Start Here" - a dedicated resource aiding Minnesotans in exploring fulfilling professions catering to our state's older adult population. Nate, our Clinical Quality Coordinator at Ecumen Lakeshore shares his story about how he began in the senior living industry after sparking an interest in the healthcare field. Nate’s story exemplifies a unique and attractive aspect of a career in caregiving: its accessibility. Watch his story at the link below.

Carol is a very important part of our team as she serves as a resident assistant at Ecumen Seasons at Apple Valley. Hear what she has to say about Ecumen. We think it is pretty special. 💚 "I appreciate the diversity at Ecumen as everyone has something different to bring to work to create a great team. The inclusiveness is obvious from day one. It's like a family you haven't seen for years. You walk in and everyone is happy you are there. I have had a long career being an RA and I only wish I would have found Ecumen sooner! I love taking care of people, not "old people" or "seniors". Those we serve are daughters, sons, moms, dads, grandparents, sisters, brothers, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, friends. They all belong to someone who loves them and it is an honor to help them navigate through this chapter in their lives." Being an RA is a job for those who truly care about humans at their core. We want to hire people just like Carol! Apply today at www.ecumen.org/careers
When Faith joined our Ecumen dining team last July, she already had a connection to Ecumen Meadows dating back to 2011 when her Great-Grandmother, LaDonna Busswitz, came to live with us. Although she was just a little girl, Faith fondly remembers coming to visit her here. In fact, those happy childhood memories are exactly why she chose Ecumen Meadows! (Lucky us!) Sometime during the 2½ years while LaDonna lived here, a professional photographer came in to take photos of our community for marketing purposes. Recently, while cleaning out the far reaches of a storage closet, we came across a framed collage showcasing some of the photos from that shoot. One of the photos in the collage is of little Faith walking down the hall holding her Great-Grandma's hand! Talk about a sweet surprise!
