We’re thrilled to share that Curion has been named a Quirk’s 2025 Top Company in Taste Test & Sensory Research. This recognition means a lot because it reflects the heart of what we do: helping brands create products people genuinely love. Taste, texture, scent, emotion, context... they all matter. And we’ve spent years building the methodologies, facilities, and expertise to capture those human details with precision and care. We’re excited for what’s ahead as we continue raising the bar for sensory, product testing, and consumer experience research.
We celebrated our annual Curion Halloween Costume Contest this past week, and it was such a treat to see everyone join in on the spooky fun! From clever and creative costumes to plenty of laughs, our teams across the company truly showed their Halloween spirit. A special shoutout to our Redwood City Project Management team, who won the “Best Boo Crew” award for their hilarious take on Asana notifications!
Last week, Curion held its annual Employee Pet Pageant — a beloved tradition where team members take a break from their busy schedules to celebrate the furry (and not-so-furry) friends that brighten our lives. This year’s event featured an adorable lineup of turtles, bunnies, cats, and dogs, each proudly presented by their Curion human. It’s always heartwarming to see the pets behind our passionate employees — proof that behind every great team member is a loyal companion cheering them on at home. A special congratulations to our pageant winners, who not only earned bragging rights but also received a donation made in their name to their favorite animal charity — a win for pets everywhere!
Earlier this month, we celebrated World Taste & Smell Day — a moment to honor the senses that bring richness to our daily lives and to raise awareness for those living with smell or taste disorders. At Curion, our research shows that every sense matters in shaping consumer experiences — but taste and smell are especially powerful. They're the sparks that ignite emotional connections: the scent of fresh coffee, the satisfying crunch of a chip, the surprise in that first sip of something new. These sensory moments are what keep consumers coming back. We took a closer look at how all five senses influence emotions, brand loyalty, and the QSR (Quick Service Restaurant) experience. Our Summer Clothing Drive for the Kids Closet at Samaritan House of San Mateo County was a huge success! Thanks to the generosity of our panelists in Redwood City, CA, we collected over 200 pieces of clothing to support local families in need.
This week, the Curion team had the incredible opportunity to attend the Pangborn Sensory Science Symposium in Philadelphia, one of the premier global events in sensory and consumer science. The conference brought together researchers, industry leaders, and innovators from around the world to explore the latest advancements shaping the future of sensory evaluation, product experience, and consumer insights. A big thank you to the organizers, speakers, and everyone we met for a week full of meaningful conversations and breakthrough ideas.
