♟️ Thinking a few moves ahead. Our global Chess Club brings colleagues together through friendly competition and a shared love of the game. This year’s tournament was played asynchronously online over the course of 5 months. Over a dozen offices participated from Atlanta to Germany. After over 800+ intense matches and surprise upsets, the gold medal was awarded to a colleague in Budapest 🥇 with New York 🥈 and London 🥉 earning the silver and bronze medals, respectively. Local meetups still continue in cities like New York and Budapest alongside global online tournaments. #LifeAtBlackRock

BlackRock’s employee‑led basketball team🏀, the MASS (Multi‑Asset Strategies & Solutions) Marauders, just wrapped up an undefeated season! What started as a small MASS‑only squad in New York four seasons ago has grown to include teammates from PFS (Private Financing Solutions), Aladdin (Asset, Liability, Debt and Derivatives Investment Network), Corporate Affairs and PMG (Portfolio Management Group). The Marauders closed the year with an incredible overtime championship win in the corporate league with a score of 44 to 40 in a hard‑fought battle🏆. We can’t wait to see what next season brings for the MASS Marauders!
✨ Lights, Camera, Aladdin! ✨ The Aladdin team swapped the usual year-end town hall for a red-carpet celebration 🎬. The event was hosted in New York and brought together 300 colleagues in person, with thousands more tuning in from around the globe. From Product to Engineering, Data to Wealth Tech, leaders stepped out in festive style to present Aladdin Oscars honoring exceptional work. The night combined sharp humor with genuine pride in Aladdin’s global impact. 🌍
Last week we celebrated the official opening of our new Edinburgh office! It was brilliant to host senior BlackRock executives alongside our clients and other special guests. 🌍 This expansion will bring us to 1,400 colleagues, making Edinburgh BlackRock’s second-largest European office, and we are excited to expand our UK footprint
