I went through a tedious interview process where I had to complete an assessment-like task and bring it to the interview and explain it. While the interview itself wasn’t bad, their attitude thereafter was strange. I had asked for a start date 1 month from accepting the position, but the were adamant on starting ASAP. I had cited family medical reasons which was reasonable. One of the cofounders started getting passively frustrated with me and wanted me to “meet in the middle” - which I did. His attitude was already poor before I even started. I accepted the start date but then retracted my application before I started due to another job opportunity. 3 months later they emailed me again and said they were impressed with my interview back then and asked if I was still interested. Lmfao.
