I had an initial video interview with mPulse and unfortunately the experience was disappointing. The person in talent acquisition spent a noticeable portion of a short thirty-minute call making small talk instead of digging into the role, expectations, or my background. It felt unfocused and didn’t reflect well on the process.
What made it worse was the lack of follow through. After the interview, I never heard anything back. No update, no rejection, nothing. I followed up and still got silence. Ghosting candidates after they invest time preparing and showing up for an interview is unprofessional, especially in a market that is already extremely challenging.
I’m completely fine if I wasn’t the right fit, but be respectful of people’s time and just communicate clearly.
