The first step of the hiring and interview process for a part-time position is filling out an application. This can be done online or in a boutique. The management reviews all applications and picks the most qualified on paper to interview. If management is interested in you based on your application then they will call to schedule an interview. The initial interview is very basic. You will be asked questions about yourself, your professional experience, what you know about makeup, and what you know about the brand specifically. The purpose of this initial interview is for the management to get a feel of your personality and find out more about your experience and qualifications. If you pass the initial interview then the manager will set up an audition. The audition requires that you perform a "make under" on one of the other employees. The purpose of the audition is for the manager to see how you interact with clients and to test your artistry skills. If you make it through an audition then you will be hired.
