Hiring manager was great to talk to. As for the Python coding interview, I was asked more software engineering questions rather than anything related to data manipulation using pandas, numpy, SQL and other packages. It was definitely not a standard coding interview relative to what similar roles give. They were testing for skills that were not on the JD. The interviewer did not seem to understand the difference between using Python for notebooking and analytics vs pure software engineering.
