But - and this is something I never came across in 20+ interviews in my job search during the last few years - the hiring manager was not interested at all. In every single meeting before/after another round of interviews we would have a catch-up and preparation. But it was literally more in terms of "can you handle some critics now?" and not in a good way. During those meetings HR would even take care of other things on his laptop in the meantime telling me a few times to hold on for a moment. Those meetings I would be on my own every single time between 5-10minutes in the beginning. Dear managers, please take care of your internal staff in terms of (lived) values you constantly promote before demanding such things from external people that have not even been in touch with your company before.
