Interview process was standard and went smoothly enough - it starts with an initial phone interview and goes from there, like many other companies. Though mine was a bit unorthodox as I when I applied, I hadn't even had a chance to finish putting forth the application before the Recruiting Specialist had reached out to offer scheduling me in for an interview. Additionally for some context, I had set up a bit of a rapport as I had applied to a previous position and connected with the Recruiting Specialist, plus I had done some work for the company previously while at University. Anyways, the initial set up of it was fine, though they had some back and forth regarding scheduling, so when I did speak on the phone for the interview, it felt a bit as the decision was made before we had spoken. Fast forward and I was the one who followed up regarding my position, just to receive an generic automated rejection email in response. For me, the negative experience comes from me feeling like I got the runaround for the position, to having to be the one to follow up regarding the status, to the lack of a personal touch with the generic automated message, ESPECIALLY after being the one following up on emails, completing the necessary pre-interview materials, and having a previously established connection with 2 different people in the company; this all comes across as a slap to the face and is cowardly.
