Entrevista
I was contacted by Zalando in-house recruiter. Everything went fine, phone call with a manager was scheduled. The Skype call was a pleasant chat about big data technologies. Then I was invited to come for all day long interview to the Berlin HQ.
I travelled to Berlin, all my travel and accommodation expenses were reimbursed. In Berlin I had a couple of one to one interviews with developers from different Zalando teams. I was also invited for a lunch with the manager. It was exhausting to be interview for the whole day (took about 5 hours), but the overall experience was very good.
After couple of days a got positive feedback from all of the interviewers. And we started to discuss my future in Zalando. I decided not to work in the Berlin HQ, but rather in Dublin branch office. That was the biggest mistake! Manager from Dublin wasn't competent at all, response time counted in weeks, everything lasted incredibly long. Finally when we agreed on a date I would flew to Dublin to visit them personally. An hour before the flight the manager called me with the message he forgot to book me the flight even though we were agreed on that. Since then I lost interest.
I cannot recommend interviewing with Zalando at all. It was a huge waste of time.

It was hr meeting 15min. Asked about my experiences, and than 3 more questions. She was on time and everything such as planning was easy. It was only first step but its moving fast and I liked it.

Why would you select Zalando if you had another company at the same time?
It went well, everyone was nice, I would recommend applying there. Lots of interesting positions but it depends upon which team you apply for, I will try an other time.
