I applied for the role in mid-June and received an interview request before the end of the month. Due to the pandemic, interviews were conducted remotely by Zoom in early July. I went through two interview rounds and got along well with management. Both parties were mutually interested and it seemed an offer would be forthcoming. Unfortunately, I was removed from consideration following the second interview because I could not meet one of their core requirements (access to a vehicle for office runs). Look, I understand their position. I do. But as with many current workers, the pandemic and its financial repercussions over the last 2.5 years have left a vehicular investment simply beyond my current means. In fact, to be honest, given the size of their agency and their resources, I'm a little surprised they don't maintain at least one company car. I would still be interested in future opportunities. But given how interested they were in bringing me aboard, I had hoped we could reach a compromise or accommodation.
