I had an initial conversation with the hiring manager which was really enjoyable. He gave me a whistle stop tour of his journey with Yell and we also talked about his family and hobbies. I then did the same and by the end of the conversation we identified we had a lot in common. The informal process meant we were able to speak freely and by the end of the first interview (which lasted around an hour), I felt confident that Yell would be a great fit for me. At the end of the interview I was told I was through to the second stage which would be a presentation to the hiring manager and Head of Field Sales followed by some competency based questions. We agreed the date and time there and then! The second stage was equally as enjoyable as the first and both interviewers immediately put me at ease and were friendly and engaged. After the presentation there was a discussion around my transferable skills and experience and another opportunity to ask questions. The whole process allowed me to gain really valuable insight into the business and at the end of the interview I knew Yell would be the perfect match for me. I received a phone call the same day to advise I had been successful which was great. My overall experience of the process with Yell was 10/10! Professional, friendly, sincere, personable and informative.
