Applied online and received an auto-response message saying the application had been received, this was a role in the Melbourne office. I never heard anything from them until two weeks later, after got in touch with a friend working at Xero, HR contacted me and asked a few questions. I was then invited to have an interview with two interviewers, one of which is based in New Zealand. The New Zealand based interviewer showed up 15 minutes late. During the interview when I asked whether he could hear me he nodded, then after spending a few minutes answering the question the other interviewer asked, he proceeded to ask me the exact same question again - when I asked, he said he could not hear anything... The whole interview felt very strange - the two interviewers were literally asking questions off a document - and they talk to each other saying "oh would you like to answer the question on line 22" - very unnatural and mechanical. After the interview I was told HR will get in touch with me - they never did. Fast forward another two months, got an automated email saying they've now filled the role.
