I had a phone interview with one of the most unprofessional recruiters I've ever come across - and that's saying something. Aside from sounding like a chain-smoking carnie, she directly asked me how much I was making; I politely deflected by saying that I earn a competitive, market-rate salary. Her response was to groan then bark, "Ugh, just tell me what you are making!..." And it only got worse from there. I feel bad for the management at Xero, it seems like an interesting company and then they have this individual chasing off sane candidates.
